About Bay Breeze:Camp runs from 9am-3:30pm Monday through Friday and includes an (optional) overnight on Wednesday for girls 4th grade and up. It's the greatest camp we know!
Come out and have some fun with our girls in the woods on the cliffs of the Chesapeake Bay. Transportation:Camp Bay Breeze has bus transportation daily to and from camp. All campers ride the bus unless their parent/guardian is volunteering on camp property.
Bus stop locations: Dunkirk Park and Ride Lord Calvert Bowling St. Leonard Elementary Appeal Elementary BJs Parking Lot Possible stop - Harley Davidson in Hughesville (MUST have 20 girls to make this stop possible) Our camp road is very narrow, parking is very scarce and there is no room to pull over or turn around. If you need to pick up your camper early, please send a note and sign the camper out at the director’s tent. For safety reasons, No car traffic is permitted on the camp road between (8:30am and 9:30am) and (2:30pm and 4:00 pm). Parent volunteers will be at each bus stop to verify girl numbers and to be a point of contact for the director. |
ActivitiesCamp Bay Breeze is girl led! Each day the girls, with their unit, decided on what activities they are interested in doing. There are a few rotations like arts and crafts, outdoor skills, camp songs, and tie-dye. Range activities like slingshots and archery based on grade level. Of course there are the beloved traditions like the sand castle contest, scavenger hunt, hiking to the beach, SWAPS and singing songs at camp show.
VolunteeringBay Breeze Day Camp is 100% volunteer run! So we need all the adult volunteers we can find. We need adult volunteers who love working with kids! Volunteering will mean your daughter can attend Bay Breeze for a reduced price and there are other benefits as well. Such as Boys Unit for ages 5-12 and a Pixie Camp for younger kids!
Teen VolunteersMust be in 9th grade or above and have completed AIT 1 & 2. Aide candidates must email their interest in being a camp aide to Deb "Honeybee" Shulman at [email protected] and wait for permission via email prior to registering. Must attend mandatory training and all 5 days of camp week. You will work with adult volunteers and other aides to facilitate camp skills, games, and songs for campers. Aides are welcome to attend the optional Aide and AIT activity on Monday evening.
